What is your question?
it started knocking , It died while driving it, was only going 15mph when it died. No fluid leaks, didn't get hot, and I didn't try starting it afterwards either. I called triple AAA they towed it . Took a compression test right before driving it and all cylinders were 200. A shop is trying to tell me that after it died, now all cylinders are at 20, 40 and all of them are bad! I find this hard to believe! I need to know what an average cost to pull an engine is!
WHEN THE COMPRESSION WAS TAKEN THE FIRST TIME IT WAS RIGHT BEFORE I DROVE IT. THATS WHEN IT WAS 200 ALL 4 CYLINDERS. I DROVE IT LESS THAN 20 MILES WHEN IT DIED. IT DIDNT GET HOT NO GAUGES WERE SHOWING ANY SIGN OF OVERHEATING ETC... WHEN IT DIED I JUST PULLED OVER AND CALLED AAA. there WERE NO FLUIDS ON THE GROUND, WATER, OIL, ETC. WHEN THE SHOP GOT IT IS WHEN HE SAID HE DID A COMPRESSION TEST AND ALL CYLINDERS WERE BAD. I WAS DRIVING MAYBE 15 MPH WHEN IT DIED SO I know it couldn't of caused that much damage!!! And, if the timing belt broke, how could he check the compression? I drove it after the first compression test so everything was in tack before driving it It also did not make any noise when it died except a pssshshshsh sound that was all. By the if it did have a bent valve, it would of had 0 compression in that cylinder, the guy at the shop said all cylinders had somewhere between 20-40 lbs of compression, so the timing belt had to be in tack, correct?
OK , what was the reason for the very first compression test? Just curious? Since it's in the shop , have they VERIFIED that the belt is on & correctly timed? not my car and I'm not there , so I gotta ask!
It started knocking he also said he did a block test. It has to be running in order to do that test. If my engine is that bad, it wouldn't be running in order for him to do such a test!
I'll take your word on that. Good luck.
Well your answer sucked apparantly u didn't read the question or maybe you didn't comprehend it
