Drove with no oil now car turns on but engine won't start

oil light was blinking on & off really slowly. Then shut off but radio& car lights remained on. Turned 2 crank nothing shut car completely off. Tryed 10 sec after & it started but car was lacking making a light noise but eventually stoped. Took to a mechanic shop car had No oil. Heavy duty oil was added then oil light turned off. Later that day I try 2drive car it felt like it struggled a bit 2turn on but it still started. Only the noise slowly got louder u could here it more often now slowly kept making the noise it no longer dissapeared. Car would lack going higher then 1.5 rpm once added oil it drived a bit better up to 2.5 rpm before lacking effort again. Car randomly turned off again with lights/radio still on. Turned off & starter again only now when braking often & attempting 2 accelerate it shut off more. this time not starting up after I turned off& on. Waited 1 hr & itstarted but stoped 5min after. Now car would no longer start but light/radio still on.
What makes this problem better or worse?
