I replaced my fuel pump and now my gas meter doesn't read correctly. Help?

Your 'mechanic' possibly goofed when replacing it , and either damaged or just misaligned the float arm. Bring it back?? They may have been able to spot that at the time , depending on how much gas was actually in the tank and what the gauge said at the time the job was completed. Called 'double-checking your work/quality control'.
