when turning the key it takes 3 or more try's before car will start

check your fuel pressure when first starting

Good answer I agree! Try to cycle key 3 times or momentarily turn engine 3 times pausing in between, then see if it starts quicker.

My 07 pacifica does the same thing. It might start right away the 1st time, or it may crank hard then finally start. I have been having some trouble lately with the battery dying after having the doors open fora short time..when vacuuming out the car...and now the engine light is on. Have had the battery and starter checked and was told they are good. Had someone tell me sounds like a bad crank sensor. Any opinions?
