If you turned the engine (crank or cams) over while aligning timing marks or installed cams with engine out of time it's very possible to bend the valves AGAIN! .. I don't know how it was reassembled but .. out of time OR bent valves is about all it can be at this point... Good luck with it!

Engine is out of time or valves are bent... Quite possibly both!
Timining is off 1 small little notch but can't get it to get any closer, but would they be bent even though I just had that fixed
