What is your question?
The last couple of mornings, at start up, I hear a grinding and grunting noise. Maybe like old cars with something in the cooling fan. The noise continues for about a minute, after it is warmed up, does not return. If I leave work within an hour or so it does it again (I have a very short commute so does not get fully hot).

This noise is very common the the 3.2l-3.5L engines used in the Dodge intrepid/Chrysler LHS. It is caused by the Serpentine belt and tensioner assenbly. Replacing the belt will eliminate the noise only if it is tensioned properly. I have the same vehicle and the same noise. I just ignore it. If you choose to correct the problem the belt tension is as follows. It requires a special tool to measure the tension. Generator/Power Steering Belt 3.2L-3.5L engines. New Belt: 836 ±44 N (190 ±10 lbs.) Used Belt: 534 N (120 lbs.)
Thank you. I was thinking that might be the problem, just never could comfirm it. Every time I had time to look at it did not have the problem.
