steering quit. wheels will not turn, but wheel turns easily

upon further investigation it appears as though the inner tie rods have come loose from the rack and pinion cylinder therefore not allowing front wheels to turn left or right.

Thanks! got lucky in that I was backing out of driveway here at house, was concerned about the Range Rover that was parked across the street behind me. at least I had brakes and was able to get car back in drive out of street.
