Dropped in rpm after starting the car

What is your question?

It's a 1991 Chrysler LeBaron it's got a tumbling noise coming from the left side of the motor I think it might be the water pump but when I just started it to move my car it did not go up to the RPMs it normally goes to but actually drop down almost to zero and then Rose back to barely one RPM. My mechanic also saod I had a transmission leak

What makes this problem better or worse?

Its worse when engines hot

The PCM onboard this vehicle is actually capable of transmitting quite a bit of data to a high quality scan tool .. However you’ll need to find an experienced mechanic to do the required testing using such scan tool. There is NO logical way to discover the failure otherwise.
