Chip key not working

The key and the tumblers are worn .. What you're trying to do is get the locking tumblers inside of the lock cylinder to release .. This actually does work .. Be sure to tap the key squarely or straight on or it is possible to break the key .. I have done this on a few occasions with good results .. Basically you have nothing to lose! The security chip within the key is not causing this problem. Good luck!
