It could be a hub bearing issue check your wheel bearing for loosness and or binding, but it sounds like a front diff, issue or possibly a transfer case issue.
How was this checked? On a lift or actually on the ground with someone watching for wheel spin? If on a lift or off the ground, the noise is most likely ABS activation! All 4 wheels are not supposed to spin at the same time, it's called 'spider gears'! If ALL wheels had traction ALL the time, you could not steer the vehicle! Have it checked by a MECHANIC! If the wheel that is spinning is held in place so it can't spin, i bet the other side would start spinning!! No positive traction on the front axle, not nowadays. Even if one hub was not working, neither would the other. I dont think you have a problem here! A MECHANIC that can check it will be able to tell.
had ball bearings changed too.
Best thing to do put vehicleon lift or 4 jack stands put it in gear and listen to various parts to isloate the noise.
