What is your question?
Shifting was fine at first but after owning the used car for about 3 weeks the shifting became harder and harder then shifter snapped .I replaced it then drove the car for 1 day then it broke again and then the car got stuck in 1st gear .can't start car cause it won't shift.so my question is if I release the cable from the transmission will I beable to get it into drive if I remove it from the transmission end and then replace

That should work provided the problem isn't at that point! ... That might be where the binding is occurring. Be sure to set the PARKING BRAKE - maybe even have a helper depresses and hold service brake pedal so vehicle doesn't try to roll.
Once the shift cable is disconnected from transmission linkage - you will have to rotate the linkage to neutral position - start engine then manually shift linkage into drive .. Keep in mind this can be extremely dangerous!
This should only be used as an emergency procedure so the vehicle can be driven to repair location - certainly not as a viable solution!
