What is your question?
After stopping at a store, I restarted my car, pressed on brake to shift gear, it would not shift out of park. I press the release button and it still would not budge. I had it tow to dealers. on speaking to dealer he said, several Chrysler's have come in with the same problem in the past two weeks. Are there others with this gear shifter problem and what needs to be done to fix and cost to repair? Is this problem up for recall? My check engine light came on two days before shifter going out. Dealers diagnostic was catalytic converter is bad and all four sensors need to be replace. Warranty well cover converter not sensor. Shouldn't the admissions warranty cover all?

Sounds like your "Park Lock" cable or solenoid has failed. This cable/solenoid prevents the shifter from being moved out of park when the brake pedal is NOT depressed. As for your catalytic converter, it should be covered, depending on mileage, under your Emissions Warranty. From my 37 years as a Chrysler Technician, I have never seen 4 Oxygen sensors fail at once. In my opinion, further diagnosis is needed.
i just had the same problem and what i found is a spring that is broken in the shifter its located under the cover where the shifter. its a pice of plastic that holds the spring. i am trying to locate the part to replace it
