What is your question?
I have a 2009 Traverse that has been throwing the dreaded timing code and cylinder misfire. The wife drove it to work and ran good but on the way home it was running rough and she said it smelled like something burning.Got it home and found #4 coil pack burned up and when it was removed it fell apart. I installed new coil pack and still running rough. So I changed out all 3 timing chains and followed the video and still same thing. I said I may have missed something so I took it apart and did it all over again and same thing. Took to Chevy dealer and 4 days in the shop and they said low compression on all cylinder(60psi)..... I didn’t believe that so I ran the test myself and I’m getting 140-157on all 6 cylinders. I ran a spark Check and I’m getting spark on 1 & 2 cylinder but nothing on 3-6, I verified the coil packs are good but did that melted coil pack cause the ecm to go out? I’m not going to start throwing parts at to see if it fixes it and I verified all wire connections are go.
How long has your 2009 Chevrolet Traverse had this problem?

You’ll need to test the ignition coil primary circuits which is pcm controlled - I can’t type out the entire procedure here as it is just too lengthy to do so in practically.. You’ll be testing for battery voltage and ground pulse from pcm on the coil wire connector. Additionally there should be diagnostic trouble codes stored.
ASSUMING coils are indeed functional: I’m not certain where the crankshaft position sensor reluctor is located - is it possible it was damaged at all during timing chain replacement? Nevertheless - primary circuit testing is first step .. ASSUMING coils are indeed functional ! Good luck!
How would I go at testing those circuits if you dont mind telling me. I did replace the crankshaft position sensor to no luck. I also ordered a used ecm and should be here in a few days. Battery voltage is 13.48 volts. I think it might be something wrong with the fuse box but my gut is saying no because I'm loosing spark on cylinder 3 through 6 but not on 1 and 2. I will try to test the coils again with all 6 spark plugs installed on the coils to be safe. Thanks again for all your help as this is a very tough call and how the dealer let me down. I guess if you want done right do it yourself!!
You’ll need a wiring schematic for primary coil circuit testing. Move the non firing coils to the know good cylinder (1 or 2) for coil testing - if it fires there - then test primary - if it still doesn’t fire - the coil is bad. Yeah I have no idea what the dealership mechanic was thinking - hell the engine can’t even run on 60 psi compression - minimum is 90 !
Well my wife’s Traverse has been sitting for some time now and it has been making me mad... so I did a lot of digging and constant pressure with questions and it turns out it was the main computer (pcm). Some times you need to be a detective and work your way back. Here is where it stands now. When the #4 coil burned out it was causing the timing to go crazy (reason the crappy running and idle) and burned something up in the pcm.Replaced the pcm and now I have spark on all 6 cylinders..yeah. Only issue is now when I try to start it will stumble then run for 1 second and shut off. I’m pulling it all apart and using the cane holding tools. I do have 1 question. Even with all my timing marks lined up in the early stage I grabbed the cam phaser and gave it a bit of a turn and it sprang to a different position even after that all marks still line up???? I guess I will see how it is soon.
