Why is my engine light on

What is your question?

The engine came on awhile back. I had the computer scanned for codes. It came up as the oxygen sensor. What would cause the O2 sensor to go bad and will replacing it fix the problem or is there something more here. I have replaced the O2 sensor on another car 3 times and it never fixed the problem.

Obviously the O2 sensors were not the problem!! Codes are just a step in the right direction to go with the diagnosis, dont feel bad, most people think a scan test that showes a code for any sensor that it must be defective.. Nothing is further from the truth! Have it tested by a professional....
