What is your question?
We have a 2006 Trailblazer with a 4.2L. THe transmission started slipping, so we bought a junkyard transmission. After taking out the old one and putting in the new one, we discovered it is stuck in Limp-in mode and will not shift into Over-Drive or into 1st gear. WIll changing out the solenoid, through the Oil pan, fix my problem or is there another issue i am not thinking about? We also put in a new VSS sensor in top of the transfer case to eliminate that potential problem.

BEST method , would be to scan the transmission and watch what is happening (live data). That would save a lot of guess work and probably a LOT of money!! Did you do the R&R yourself? How was the previous one diagnosed? 'Slipping' on a lot of newer vehicles can be caused by a fault in the 'control' systems , rather than a mechanical failure.
I did do the repairs myself. Not that i am an expert by any means but i feel fairly confident that the repairs that were performed were done correctly as i did not hurry through this repair because this is a third vehicle and we do not need it everyday. We took it to have scanned and it showed no codes by the transmission failure. The last step for me is to change the solenoids out and if that doesnt fix it then i will take it to a shop. Just wanted to know what are the chances that the solenoids fix the issue with it not shifting into 1st gear and 4th gear. We have tried everything that we know to do. Any further advice would be much appreciated. THanks for responding with your experience.
