My gauges are not working, the fuel,battery,oil,etc. What is the problem?

Tar Heel Person:possible stepper motors are bad on the cluster.you can do a test.sit in drivers seat,push odometer trip button in and hold it in,turn key to ON,NOT START,when the test begin,let go of the trip button.see if gauges sweep and go back to where they were.you can forward through all the test by pushing the trip button once for each test.see what happens.
