2005 chevy trailblazer Put on new shifter bushings and they keep coming undone.

Remove linkage lever from transmission - drill small hole in the outer edge of stud on the linkage lever - re-install linkage lever onto transmission - place cable on stud and place a cotter pin into the hole you drilled.. May need *hands-on* help from auto repair savvy personnel..

Provided you are using a good quality bushing you need to make sure the new bushing is fully clipped into the shifter cable end. They usually give you a little plastic tool that lines up the bushing to it's installed straight. Alex
