How often do I have to get a oil change?

Any full service oil change includes a new filter. With synthetic oil, your service interval can be extended beyond the traditional 3,000 miles. However, your interval should be based on how you drive the vehicle, around town, daily commute, commercial/work. As a vehicle ages, the interval should become shorter, with 3,000 miles or 3 months as a good maintenance rule of thumb for a 13 year old SUV. Keeping up with your fluids and filters will help extend the useful life on the vehicle.
you don't have to change it every 3000 miles unless you just want to..that's just a gimmick to sell more oil from the oil companies for them to make more money! every 5000 is ok for regular oil, longer for full synthetic ..i change mine once a year and it has 325,000 miles on it and it's a FORD,although i run Amsoil.it's around $11.50 a quart, but i order it through NAPA a get it for their cost..Heck,my 1993 Honda Accord per the owners manual says to change it(engine oil) every 7500 miles! you do what makes you feel good about your vehicle!just don't go to any of the Quick Lube/Jiffy Lubes because it may not get changed period, but you get charged for it,believe me...Walmart has the BEST prices on oil or go to a parts house.(THEY ALL HAVE OIL CHANGE SPECIALS EVERY WEEK/INCLUDING THE FILTER)...only thing about that is,you have to pay regular price for any extra quarts over 5 quarts at Autozone,Advance,etc...
For $57.42, it better have included the filter! With that being said, I don't know of any reputable lube shop that would change your oil without also changing the filter.
