replaced fuel pump tries to start will not stay on

I would first check to see if you have spark. Then check to see if you have fuel. If you have spark and fuel check your timing. It helps to narrow down the problem.
Can you hear the pump run for a couple of seconds when key is turned on? Listen at the filler neck with cap removed while someone turns key on. Pump should run for a little bit then cut off. If key is cycled to start then let off, pump should repete this each time! If no pump operation, check ALL fuses and pump relay! Finally, is the security light flashing while cranking?
