What is your question?
my 2004 chevy trailblazer backfired started the air filter on fire and wont start, i took raw gas out of the air intake box, thinking the timing chain, would i be right?
How long has your 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer had this problem?
it has backfired a couple times in the past

Also > IF gasoline has washed the cylinder walls clean - that will also result in low compression - IF this is the case - adding a tablespoon of lightweight oil (transmission fluid) to the cylinder being tested should bring compression readings back to normal. Now - IF after this test the compression readings are still low - THEN the timing chain might be the problem. .. We can only make suggestions here online .. *Hands-on* TESTING is the key! Good luck with it!
