What could be causing a loud vibration while in gear and sitting at a stoplight?

Loud explains a noise , vibration explains unwanted movement or feedback , is the symptom you are experiencing both loud and uncomfortable? Is the check engine light on? Vibration due to poor running engine , or a 'balance' issue? Suggest another maybe more experienced mechanic to check it!
