The truck will run but after its driven and its warmed up, when its shut off it wont start again, until it is cooled off, after a couple hours or the next day it will start again.

Here's what needs to be done: With a high dollar professional quality scanner hooked up when the engine will NOT start, check the live data screen for cranking signal as the engine is cranking... Many other test can be made at that time using the scanner as well... This is more than likely going to need to go to a repair shop as very few DIY'ers are equipped... While it will not start is when testing must be done! .. It is moot to simply post a bunch of possiblilties here, that just adds to the confusion! .. There is one thing you can try next time this happens .. Hold accelerator pedal to floor and crank engine to see if it'll start then... Post results.
