The power light just came on and I have no clue why

There is a small rocker switch next to the gear selector; at the top of the switch is an N, in the middle A/T, and below that a P. The switch is in the P position which means power; that is why the power indicator light is lit up on the instrument panel. When in the power position the automatic transmission switches from a 4 speed to a 3 speed which will give faster acceleration, hence more power. The N position stands for normal and the transmission operates as a 4 speed giving better gas milage. In the normal position the power light goes out.
Not familiar with 'power light' see what the owners manual says and let me know.
what color is the light is it red or yellow and does it have a logo with the light
the light is yellow and its on the instrument display , I look it up and some say its has something to do with toeing and some say its got to do with the shifting and the rpms
Ok, now that you have looked and 'read' in your owners manual, did you see the part where there is a switch to turn this on/off?? IF not look again, that book knows more about your Tracker than anybody! Use it, lot of good stuff in there! BTW, it controls the gear shift according to engine rpm, kinda like overdrive. Hope this helps.
