rear hatch door/window will not lock has no key entry to manually open/lock

You may want to ensure that you have an owners manual to reference for this and many other questions you will likely have. The window and hatch will lock and unlock using the remote for the key or the lock buttons inside the vehicle. This is the only way.-- there is no keyed cylinder related to the hatch door or glass. If it is not locking, there could be an electrical or mechanical lock problem -- that would require testing and inspection.
