What is your question?
Could not fill the gas tank in my 2005 Tahoe, so dealer said I would have to flush fuel tank, replace all fuel lines and fuel pump, and replace the evap charcoal canister because the canister had allowed charcoal into the fuel system. How could this happen? The Tahoe was running fine at the time I couldn't put gas in the tank.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Can't put gas in the tank
How long has your 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe had this problem?
Just started

It would sound possible that overfilling your fuel tank could cause fuel to enter the canister and contaminate it. I don't know the purpose of all the other concerns unless there is a drivability and fuel pressure concern related.
Have local independent auto repair facility go ahead and replace the *canister vent valve solenoid* so the tank will accept fuel when attempting to refuel.. Easy diy repair if you’re a bit handy! This is an inexpensive part and will only take a few minutes to replace it. Good luck
The other concerns involve having to spend 30 minutes to put 10 bucks in your tank when its so cold outside you get frost bite. Its a pain having to try and put gas in then it projects out at you if you go to fast. So you see there are a lot of concerns not being able to put gas in your car because of those stupid charlcoal b b's that fill every fule line on the car. I just took my tahoe to a mechanic and he has to pull the tank to blow all the b b's out. It wasn't cheap either. So you see just because we have drivability and fuel pressure doesn't mean there are not concern.
