Rear Fog Lights

What is your question?

I am overseas and tried to have a technical inspection completed and was told that my rear fog light is not working. For five years I never knew I had a rear fog light. Is this a standard item or optional? I have the switch inside the car but I still have not found the actual light on the rear, nor could the technician. I believe I don't have one. Where might it be located?
