Is it possible to put in new running lights myself?

Yes..you need to pull the headlight assembly out. there are two metal L shaped rods that hold the headlights when removed then you can see the running light sockets you press the little release tab and rotate the socket to pull them out . make sure install longlife bulbs sometimes you have to ask for them.
