Replaced w new lock cylinder but now won't crank or start..nothing

Could get by with that back in the 70's... Not any more! .. Since it will not 'crank' lock cylinder must not be engaging the ignition switch actuator .. Even if that were working .. How about the security system, that will prevent the engine from running but not cranking .. Recommend contacting a lock smith or local repair shop. Good luck with this one! IF you loose the keys in the future, call the dealer and get a new key made... You'll need proof of ownership and the vehicle id number but the dealer can make a new key.
