the dealer said that this occurs -Treatment is to drive above 20 mph for at least 5 minutes- than unit will update- my question is: what is consider normal frequency? Exampe : once a week ,.once a month or what? Is this normal or is it what they say to not fix it.
What makes this problem better or worse?

Normal operation for the temperature reading to be inaccurate until vehicle is driven .. This will occur each and every time - after an extended park period.
You should not have to do any update procedure on the outside temperature. It's an ambient sensor and it just reads the temperature. I'd try another shop or dealer. Use this link to find a good shop near you. https://repairpal.com/repair-shops Alex
There is nothing wrong with the thermometer... All of em do the exact same thing!!
