Replacing Oil Level Sensor

Low oil Level message resolved! OEM Part#12603782 Chevrolet dealership wholesale $18. Use flat-head screwdriver to pry 1-sided cannon plug. (have good light & jack up vehicle a little. Drain 2 quarts out of normal drain plug or it will come out of sensor orphis. I got burned by oil and exhaust because I'm not patient enough to let is cool. Life's all about choices but best to do this in conjunction with normal oil change. Need 1-1/8" (pretty big) socket to remove sensor. Don't over torque but rotate/align so you can access tap of plug in future. Appreciate all the advise, plug the whole...you guys are good!

Have changed many of them on different cars and trucks, just make sure you have it tight enough, trying to align it, because of heat expansion and leaks.

Oops oil level. Oil pan. :-(

Aint got one has it ? I've never paid any attention and never had a problem on these later years....used to give some problems back in the day..
