What is your question?
The bed brake lights are not working, but all other lights including the center mount brake light are working fine. I checked every fuse in both boxes and all four bulbs and they all appear fine. Since the center mount brake light works when the pedal is pressed it appears that the brake switch is not the issue. Does anyone have any ideas for what else could cause this? Thanks for your help.

REAR brake light circuit runs though the multifunction switch BEFOR going to each 'REAR' brake light... IF that circuit is open in the switch = no REAR brake lights!! .. Even though *signals and hazzards* work just fine.... Also if signal and hazzards do work ok then wiring and bulbs are ok! 'IF' you have properly tested all fuses... Suspect open circuit in multifunction switch... (Signal light switch)
if both the dual element brake light/tail light bulbs are bot blown, suspect brake light switch is bad or misaligned.
Thanks, I'll try testing power in and out of the switch next weekend to see if that's the issue or if it could be multifunction switch or somewhere else.
very good....
Owner: Search eBay for > cordless circuit tester ... Using one of those, can TEST EVERY FUSE on a vehicle in less that a minute.. Plus anything else that you can test with a test light.. It's a must have, even if a novice! .. Around $10--$12 bucks.. First tool I reach for when ANY electrical problem comes in the shop... TEST 'ALL' FUSES FIRST THING!! .. Even IF "they all appear fine"... Don't care IF it says the fuse is for an ejection seat... TEST the damn fuse!.. Never rely on the owners manual or any other listings for what the fuse is actually for ..*TEST* THEM ALL... You'd be surprised how many problems I solved that way!.. Thing is..some had just came from other repair shops with good mechanics that had no luck finding the trouble...*assume nothing*.. Just a little 'old school' lesson.. For ANYBODY that reads this!
what if my fuses do not work? there is no power going to my fuse box. what do I do?
Thanks for the advice. I'll probably get a test light or find my voltmeter next weekend when I have time to dig into this again and see if I'm getting power in and out of the brake switch. Hopefully that'll narrow down where the problem could be. Didn't know that the brake lights fed back through the multifunction but did a little research on why and it makes sense now.

Well it goes to show the simple stuff is worth trying first. I replaced 2 fuses and 6 bulbs. Magically the brake lights work now even though all the fuses and bulbs that were there had looked just fine. Thanks for the suggestions on this!
