When you turn ignition over it just keeps whirling like starter is stuck but it won't turn over. But then it will finally start. And then all of a sudden....motor will rev up to like 1000 rpms...like gas throttle is stuck (but it isn't) and will finally kick down. Just started doing this. It takes several times before it will start
sounds like 2 different problems.when you turn switch to start it,starter is spinning engine over, but not start?correct,or is starter not engaging to spin motor over?
sounds like starving for fuel.changed fuel filter lately.never mind, fuel filter is part of the pump assembly on 2004 and up chevy trucks now.probably need fuel pressure test.getting spark or wouldnt start after holding pedal to floor,i would assume.lets let zip and push look at this in morning, they have very good knowledge on this,im a rookie.
You doing a fine job!!!.. Only thing I can add is the PCM commands starter to engage for a predetermined amount of time OR the engine starts... Thus if engine doesn't start right away, the starter WILL continue to spin engine even if you let go of key...for a few seconds... The testing you recommended needs to be done to determine the no start condition!.. (No *normal* engine start condition)
Oh...OK...thank you....would you have any solutions ? He just told me to put a little comment in there that would catch his eye...lol
i will try,whats it doing,detail

It is spinning motor over because if you hold pedal to floor....it will start. Sounds like starter is spinning really fast
