cannot remove the old clutch pedal assembly. It has 3 bolts which I have removed, but the assembly is wedged in there so tightly that there is no room to get it out. Any suggestions?

Maybe I should do a youtube video on a permanent repair for this with a flat metal plate attached to the firewall....... Also be working under hood instead of under dash.....beats putting plastic back.....just to break again!! . A word of caution....make sure it's not a mechanical problem with the clutch itself..... IF it is.....this part WILL break again!! ..just saying..
Are you replacing the clutch discr or the clutch master cylinder? To remove master cylinder pop rod off of clutch pedal remove Bolts securing it to fire wall disconnect line. Take look at a new one you'll see what has to come off.
I am replacing the clutch pedal assembly. It has one bolt attaching it to the top and 2 bolts attaching it to the firewall. It has a tube that sticks through the firewall to which the clutch master cylinder attaches and through which the pushrod goes.
Don't have one in front of me now but I believe you first pop off rod which actuates master cylinder then at top of pedal push in spring loaded pins pedal should come out.
