Be SURE fuse is good, i always check all of them but i have a tester, it only takes a few seconds! Auto or stick trans?
Make sure the tail light module is working, at the back of the truck near the tailgate.
What is a module
There is 2 fuses to the back up lights. At the rear underneath of the bed is a square box looking module with several plugs attached to it, that is the module that all the rear and trailer lights operate from.
Tail lights and brake lights work but not reverse
No kidding, I can read. Did you check both fuses, and the backup lights are still wired through that module, Oh and by the way, they are in the tail light assy, ie' tail light module.
I'm not trying to be rude or smart I checked the one fuse under hood where is the other one located
B/U lamp fuse 25amp and Vehicle B/U fuse 15amp also trailer B/U fuse 10amp
Thanks
Did you find the problem
No I made the hot leg on the 10 amp b/u fuse hot and the reverse lights worked
Whatever works right. Good luck
My Silverado 2003 no backup lights. The trailer light connector with backup light works, center post. I ran a wire from it to backup light wire (lite green) on left side tail. Fixed it!!!!
Auto
Ok, better check the fuses!!!! Manual trans has it's own separate switch, btw. Very unusual for that part of the neutral safety switch on an auto trans to fail but possible.
The pig tails were messed up I wiggled the wires and they sparked so I replaced them now nothing no reverse lights
There is now a blown fuse, check'em!
I checked the reverse fuse and it's good
Ok!!!!!! Hope you get it fixed.
Is it possible I burnt up neutral safety switch
I can not understand what is so complicated about TESTING *ALL* the damn fuses .. I give up!!!
