I took truck to Johnson auto plaza service they they should be complete Serv and it has leaked ever since I am sure I need to add oil before I do have problems but I don't find any plug and does not have cover plate on rear Thank you
What makes this problem better or worse?

ALL GM 10 bolt rear differentials indeed have a cover plate with > 10 bolts holding it on! The check / fill plug is located on the left (passenger) side - front - center of differential. Requires 3/8 square drive tool to remove the plug and re-install.
Recommend having qualified personnel check diff lube.
