What is your question?
I have a PO171 and PO174 HO2's are working correctly, Sometimes it fires right up some times cranks forever. this is always on cold start first start of the day. Can a crank sensor also cause this? It seems strange a fuel issue could be so intermittent? Or can it. Checked relay and fuses and fuel pump wiring harness. All OK there. Sprayed carb clean on everything with no change in engine idle. Basically eliminating vacuum leak issues. I'm banging my head here. Also cleaned the Mass air flow. And wires to it with electronic cleaner. No matter what both 171 and 174 will return. After 20 or so miles.

55-60 psi > key on > eng. off... Gauge should hold pressure and not drop off more than 5-10 psi... Leave gauge hooked up and test it on cold start...... No on the crank sensor!.... Changed the fuel filter yet?... Got access to a 'real' scanner??
OK crank sensor is a no, Yes I have the most expensive Actron scanner they make has freeze frame and the ability to snapshot as well. Yes new fuel filter as well. I had a 97 K1500 that had this issue it turned out to be fuel volume even though pressure was correct volume was low. I do not know what the volume should be on this vehicle? Thank you for your fast response. I'm betting fuel pump or MAF. But prefer advice before throwing parts at it. I guess I need to set down and research open and closed loop values. As most know HO2's do not come into play until closed loop is achieved. The PCM has a preset program like a PC bios to assume settings on initial start up in open loop
IF you have a test gauge with that scanner... It should be ALL you need!... Look at live data.. fuel trims... Also see if it's going back to open loop after it has reached closed loop... The info is right in front of you!... Check very closely the rubber intake tube for ANY POSSIBLE leaks!
OK checked fuel pressure it is fine at idle 58PSI And it does stay in closed loop not going back to open., My MAF at idle is .70 in closed loop, MAP is 9.4. the map seems pretty low to me at curb idle. I was thinking it should be up near 15-20 HG. Funny thing is Key on engine off before first start of the day is was reading 28.6. Open loop. Any other ideas? Or am I looking in the right place and indeed do have a vacuum leak some where. I checked the PCV and vacuum hose and elbow even plugged one end and blew into it nothing escaping there :( I appreciate your advice by the way. I used to do this for a living but had online tech support and the tech 2 scanner to aid me in this. Now I've lost my edge and it stinks. I had to retire due to a brain trauma from a motorcycle accident so lost memory is an issue. But heck I lived LOL.
