What is your question?
When shifting from park to drive or park to reverse my engine first will rev up and then kick into gear a few seconds later. What causes this slow gear engagement? Is it the egr valve? We just changed the torque converter, fluid and filter.

POSSIBLE LOW TRANS PUMP PRESSURE.HAVE A FREE DIAG AT AAMCO AND THEN CK PRICES
Well the only thing about that is that my mechanic told me It would whine in between gears if the pump Pressure was low and it doesn't. Is this true? And if it's not the pump pressure could it be the shifting solenoid? My mechanic also said that if the solenoid was bad I wouldn't get my overdrive gear. But it goes into overdrive just fine
yes it could alot of issues, pump whine would be caused by low fluid or pump bearing not low pressure
Yes but it doesn't whine and we just put new fluid and new filter in it and its Not low. I'm just trying to figure out the delay going from Park to drive or park to reverse. Help please
