Can you use regular gas when it says Premium recommended?

NO, the use of regular fuel can and will cause performance problems and engine damage. In an emergency it can be used for a short period of time. The higher octane fuel is required due to the higher than normal compression ratio of the engine. Regular fuel will cause performance problems and pre-ignition which will damage the engine. HTH"S
