Where is the fuel pump on a 2012 Chevy Malibu is located?

just make sure that is the problem before replacing it.if so,make sure to buy the correct one,there are a couple different ones,and they are different.

I will in the future, but for now I don't have a fuel pump failure. Just wanna replace the filter as I passed the 30k mark

so,WHY did you ask the question.where is the fuel pump located?should have asked,where is the fuel filter located?it's in the fuel tank also,not serviceable!

Aren't they usually located together? It was the case with the last car I had; a Laredo 2008
