Car wont start after filling with gas

Gasoline / vapors are being drawn into the intake manifold after refilling tank which is temporarily flooding engine... This is typically caused by an evaporative emissions system (EVAP) malfunction. Habitually ‘topping off’ fuel tank when refueling will make this problem more pronounced as it damages EVAP components. Until repairs can be completed - holding accelerator pedal to floor after fueling will allow engine to start. Commonly the purge valve is the culprit - however that needs to be confirmed via *hands-on* testing. Good luck!
