A dealership is teling me it is going to cost $1,700 for this repair, $1,300 for labor and $400 for part, that seems a bit high from what I see online can you confirm

We do not know exactly WHAT the repair details are.. I see timing chain repair however that still covers a lot of territory - by providing more details you can use the ‘estimator’ on this page or get estimates from independent repair facilities.. This doesn’t have to be done at the dealership. Good luck!
