I am looking at a 08 Malibu it says it has a 2.2L L4 MPI DOHC engine. This according to car fax. I was trying to find reviews on this motor,but all I seem to find is the 2.4L 4cyl. I would like to know if this is a good engine. info on both might help me.

That's the 2.2 L which is a very reliable GM Ecotec Family engine.... All are DOHC! ...We have had no inherent problems with this vehicle at the shop... There are several around in the community...That's my experience with these vehicles and my opinion only! .. I have been doing this a very long time, if it helps... Good luck with your decision.

thanks. I think I may make a deal today. I pray it is the right one! I thought the camray I bought was,it turned out to be bad. Everyone says they don't go bad, well,I am not a believer anymore. LOL Thanks again
