Once a trouble code has been found, the next step is to diagnose the fault. A trouble code by itself does NOT tell you which part to replace. You must diagnose the system, sensor and/or circuit to determine the fault before repairs are made or any parts are replaced. **Hands-on** testing WILL be required.
A *professional quality* scanner can quickly determine if the coolant temperature sensor and the circuits are operating as expected. Recommend leaving vehicle at local auto repair facility so hands-on testing can be completed. Coolant temperature sensor readings need to be checked with scanner ‘before’ the engine is started - after extended park - overnight. Otherwise it’s a guessing game! Good luck with it!
