when u go to start the car it does not always start if gas gauge and lights dont

if u turn key off and on or wiggle it then the gas gauage will work and car will start not sure that is why but it does .. not sure how to check the check program keg can u tell me thanks

place keg in side of ignition switch turn to on leave on ten mins then shut off and restart or program them at dealer
