What is the average cost to repair brake grinding?

Yeah that is good advice. I have owned the car since 2008 as it was a high school graduation gift. I am in my last year of Uni & cars are just not my cup of tea. This is the first time it needs repairs and left it there as I felt a lot of pressure. They said they would get to it in the am. Should I call and say I want another quote first?

Yes! I think you can do a good bit better than that! Just say you cant bring it in at that time something came up, which is exactly what has happened! oops, i see it is already at their shop. That is just too much! At the shop here in VA. would be about 200. less "based on what i have read from your posted question". Now i don't know what that shop has in mind to do along with this posted repair price!!!
