Cylinder 2 misfire on error code

What is your question?

Check engine light began flashing, car was idling rough, can't get up to speed. Thought changing spark plugs and wires would help, it's still running the same, changed the ignition coil for cylinders 2 and 5, still runs the same. Car sometimes wants to die when stopping, also hard to get it started and once it starts there is an overwhelming smell off gas. Spark plugs and worked a have been triple checked everything was done properly.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Nothing I have noticed, I'm not driving it right now.
