You didn't mention which engine - 3.1L or 3.8L V6. I will say that in both cases, you do not have to "take the whole motor apart".
Strongly recommend purchasing / borrowing a repair manual and review the procedure before attempting any diy repair - if that’s what you have in mind. Just for example the 3.1L push rod lengths are different - intake / exhaust and are easily inserted in wrong positions. Good luck with it!
