What's the difference & better option? Replace the car door or the door skin?

I hit a pole & did damaged to my driver door. I've gotten 4 estimates from different shops. 3 of the 4 are talking about getting a new door. While the 4th one is talking about replacing the door skin & moldings? I will be paying out of pocket so I would like to know what is the better choice?.
