Sir: the code you posted, P16D0, Is mentioned in a technical service bulletin from chevrolet, possible internal engine oil leak or low oil pressure, which might be serious, to answer your question, the fuel filter is located in the fuel tank, ( w/2.5 L 4 cylinder engine )
there are 8 different models of the Impala for the 2014 year..some have a direct injection and some have the module assembly and the fuel filter is made into that assembly,and is not serviceable without changing the whole assembly inside the tank for around $350.00 if you buy it and you install it.if a shop does it,then price $700.00-$1000.00!
Mine is the 1LS sedan, if they want 700-1000, I will trade it in faster than they can whistle Dixie. Thanks for the info. Car only has 31,500 on it that is why I am thinking it might be the filter.
Also check with the dealer it is covered by power train warranty.
