Hi Bryan, Trial and error is expensive and reading codes is when the diagnosis starts, there are many things that can cause the problem. Give us the opportunity to have one of our ASE certified techs to diagnose your vehicle and provide you with a solution to your problem. We are at 3838 North Fry Rd in Katy Texas and we are here to serve you. Have a Blessed day.
NO, that code didn't TELL you to replace a coil and the oil pressure switch! it gave you possible causes for those codes.. do not drive the car with the check engine light flashing or you will be replacing a converter very soon at a price you will NOT like! have it towed to a trusted repair shop with a scan tool, and not a code reader.
There were at least 12 codes that popped up. I know some of them were phantom codes. I choose to get the coil fixed because sometimes i could not start the car.
false codes!..i had that happen to my 2000 F150 one time.threw 9 codes?..i had ONE vacuum leak at the PCV VALVE!!.. replaced one piece of vacuum hose 3 inches long, cleared the codes, light never came back on,smoothed right out!!..9 more miles, and it will have 311,000 miles on it!!
